What's the tent for? I'd be sleeping in the burb in Maine this time of year!

Re: Suburban went camping in Maine
Love the pics and love Maine - it is absolutely gorgeous. I've been up and down the coast and plan to go back. You are a ways into the interior at that park. If anyone on the board hasn't been to Maine, put it on your bucket list. Thanks for sharing.

on another note.....i saw Portheadlight's burb in 2009 at Bonny Eagle (biggest car show in Maine), right after i'd picked up mine. definitely a gorgeous truck. as for camping with my truck....i'm hoping to get up to Moncton, New Brunswick next july for the Atlantic Nationals but i'll be hauling my 40 year old camper with me so there will be plenty of room for my parents, grandmother and me. it is only about an 8 hour drive for from here at the bottom of maine. anyone else interested in a HUGE car show and playing tourist in canada? |

Re: Suburban went camping in Maine
Love those photos. Camping in Michigan in late 60's and early 70's is where I first developed a taste for the Suburbans. Seemed like the better equipped campers and trailer pullers had one.

Re: Suburban went camping in Maine
Excellent pictures. Looks like a lot of fun. Ive been to Maine 4 or 5 times now and I still haven't seen a moose. Last time we were there I was going to break down and just take a moose tour, but I guess it was moose season or something so they weren't running the tours =(
