Door Panels 73-80 or 81-87?

Which ones do I have? I had issues with the door handle clearing the panel but it was a simple task of a little dremel an a little filing. I also took my 80 door handles off and put 73 handles on. Still there is enough room for a mouse to go throuth. Are the 81-87 handles a little different? My arm rests don't fit at all.

Tan is what is was it's going to be the blaxk seats door panels and dash over the white base.

Kinda like an Oreo

Hey Bob,

73-76 arm rest are short in length and taller, The tan one shown is 77-86 vintage and the ones needed are 81-87 with the grab area closer to the rear of the door. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=127

Re: Door Panels 73-80 or 81-87?

I also appears that I also need the 81-87 inside door handle and the bezel PN 38-2180. I think I'm running into a lot of also needs.

It will come together in time. The plastic fasteners may also be needed as the panel does not appear to fit flush with the door. Behind the panel the arm rest support seams to be the same. As I remember the front part of the armrest snaps in. Correct?

Good thing I went black. Color options are a little pricy

You'll find handle spacers that may help close the gap in the panel.

What year doors are on this rig ?

Re: Door Panels 73-80 or 81-87?

The doors are 1980, the new panels appear to be 81-87 but the door release handles are off a 73 I have out back. I found some 81-87 door release handles at LMC and the handle fits lower which makes sense for the fitment issues I was having. I was told all this stuff was ordered for a 77 model truck. Oh well another Craigslist package deal. I did ok for what I spent.

Carpet, door panels, seat and dash pad for $250

Re: Door Panels 73-80 or 81-87?

the older ones look to be the same as what i started with on the 78 jimmy
changed to 89 handles and panels
issues with the older rods used clips, newer used plastic bits
