I'd rather buy a bucket, and fix it up, instead of buying that one...9g's is pretty steep.

$9,000 is a good price for a truck that nice. If you buy a bucket and fix it up to that caliber you will have more than $9,000 in parts and paint.

If the paint is as nice as it looks, he has 5k or more in that alone. The only thing that kills that truck is some idiot put a snap on bed cover on it.

Re: this truck is even more beautifull in person CL FIND
the paint is that nice, I bought my truck from the same lot and know the owner rather well, he would take 8500 on it rather easy im sure but its been lowered right not to mention i have never seen a nicer factory style interior, the only problem i see in that truck is the stock engine still needs to go lol

I agree with buying one already done is cheaper, but why do so many people start a project like that? Pride of accomplishment. If it were me.....I'd buy something maybe 3/4 as nice, and finish it to my tastes.

Welding up the holes and painting them wouldn't be that big a deal but it would have to be done. Not the worst PO fix.

Re: this truck is even more beautifull in person CL FIND
It is a really nice truck and it wouldn't be anything but a paint and body trip to fix, but I do agree with Ken about drilling the bed. Given the clean and professional execution of the rest of the truck it is odd that the bed was drilled for a snap-on bedcover. There's so many "no-drill" bedcovers available now that the snap-on type must have meant something personal to the owner/builder. It's still a buy to me. Well done.

Hmm.. And i was just over there. Guess i better update the craigs notification app on this phone. Aside from cheaper in the long run, think of the time savings.

Re: this truck is even more beautifull in person CL FIND
Ha ha, I used to drive by that dealership everyday on my way to/from school. They never had nice lowered Chevys back then.
One thing I learned from my time in the NW: street truck + snow = nerve racking drive. I'd pay $9000 for a done-up truck if it were done-up to/close to my tastes and if it were mechanically sound. I paid $8000 for my truck about 15 years ago and have put more than that into it over the years with the exhaust, lowering, wheels, paint, bed cover, etc. But it came with less than 100k and I've never had a mechanical issue with it besides replacing the radiator. |
