You guys are just rubbing it in!! Pics of a sweet 'Burb taken from a sweet Blazer... REALLY?
Here is a link to a local show that you guys might be interested in, it's like a mini Cruising the Coast here in Ft. Walton Beach May 1-4 . The Cruise spots are pretty cool, and the parties at night are Awesome. http://burningupthebeaches.com/

Re: 66 suburban build
The blazer was just the camera crew. The burb was the star of the show fo realz!!! Then there's ole Craig, note the green lizard to the left with 500+ cubes and a blower. Nobby's burb is the only other vehicle that gets a look when that beast rolls in.
That show looks pretty cool btw.

Re: 66 suburban build
I drove this thing all day yesterday. Almost every stop I would have a fan that needed the whole story on it. That was find with me because I know the whole story on it It's amazing how many people call it a Blazer and when I had my Blazer they would call it a Bronco. Heres a couple pics once I got home.

Re: 66 suburban build
The guy at breakfast yesterday with the Longbed ford asked if it was a Nomad because it's a 2 door lol. What's funny to me about people thinking it's a blazer is that everyone always thinks my blazer is a truck that I cut the top off of.

Re: 66 suburban build
Nobby,
This is my first time on this site. I love your Burb! I have a 66 GMC that is getting built now with an LS1. You said you used an LMC gas tank. What mods did you have to do to it? Is your fuel pump outside the tank, is it a suburban tank, etc.? |

Re: 66 suburban build
Is the 87 pump mounted in or out of the tank? P.S. Aren't you about ready for another project?

Re: 66 suburban build
Nope just reduce from 1 1/4'' to 1'' on the tank.. Fills quick at the pump.
Hey Buck,The first time I don't smile while I drive it I'll think about getting rid of it. Last edited by Nobby; 02-24-2014 at 07:57 PM. |

Re: 66 suburban build
ok !! there's been two hrs or reading and just taking it all in, your Burb looks great I hope to get one soon and get started on building it to replace my truck as my daily driver.
do you have any detailed pictures of the wire harness ( for the eng.) Any way you do great work, I know it takes more time then most know! to keep a build posted and load the pictures and dialog.

Re: 66 suburban build
Nobby...absolutely stunning Burb! Your ride is the insperation for my '65.
I had a question for you on your wheel combo...looks like you went with the 20X10 and 20x8.5 combo, what offsets are you running and what tires? Any rubbing issues? |

Re: 66 suburban build
Hey Thanks so much man...You got the wheel size right. I have 255/40s up front an 295/40s rear. Can't remember backspace at the moment but the 338s come in only two options I think.. I put 1/2'' spacers on the rear because the 66 rear is a little narrow. It has no rubbing issues but it's close. Thanks
