Re: '88-'98: What Size Tire and Wheel are You Running?

Right now it has 255/45/17's in front and 275/50/17's in back. I'll also use 245/50/17's in front when I feel like it/get a good deal on em.

Re: '88-'98: What Size Tire and Wheel are You Running?

Went for the Wheel Vintiques 66-series Vette-style 16x7's. Have Yokohama Geolander HT-S tires in a 245-70 size. If I ever replace the fronts, I'm gonna go back and get a shorter tire and a little rubber rake. Fronts are a touch too tall.

Re: '88-'98: What Size Tire and Wheel are You Running?

cant seem to find a picture of it on this computer but i have a 96 k1500 with a torsion bar crank and 35s, the only time it rubbed with the mickey thompson wheels i had was when i jumped it and with stock wheels it rubbes the frame at full turn. i trimmed valence and bumper a little and cut end bent the back of the front fender a bit. the rear with the mickey thompsons rubbed the outside of the tire on the lip of the fender at full stuff.

Re: '88-'98: What Size Tire and Wheel are You Running?

running 265 75r16 on 2002 chevy stock wheels. truck has 2 added leafs and a 2in block in the back. front bars were cranked a little. i have plenty of room to run 285 75r16's which i will put on when these tires wear out. the second pic is when i had older 15 inch wheels 10 wide with 33x9.50 r15. but with the back spacing the rubbed the inner fenders too bad.

Re: '88-'98: What Size Tire and Wheel are You Running?

Just replaced my police caps, with a nice set of used Monte Carlo center caps. It actually looks a bit more masculine than the other ones did, although it is hard to see in this pic. (Note to self: Take better pix.)

What is the widest tire you guys have found to fit on a 20x10 rim in the rear with a 4/6 drop? Without cutting anything.

Nice truck TecRsq, in your signature it says 15x10's. Is that correct or are they 8's? And did you get them online somewhere or off another truck?

My bad bud, I think they are 8's but not positive on that at all. When I purchased the truck it was on wheels much bigger than my taste runs, he stated he had some wide rally wheels that he would paint argent silver for me and include them in the deal, I was really happy to have the Rally's so I just threw em on.

To me the rally's just look right on the trucks and you can go so many different ways with the looks and set up.

I know the 295's look like they belong there and arent out of porportion at all IMO.
