Smog Pump Removal Question

Have a 69 C-10 w/250 3speed. No power steering or air.The truck was in California and to bring it up to emission codes they had to install a smog pump.
I have since brought it to Oklahoma .Want to know if it would be of any benefit to remove it .
Would it help fuel millage and are their any changes to tune up specs I would need to use.

These were pretty harmless devices that simply put small amounts of fresh air into the exhaust port area in an effort to reduce emissions. Most people didn't like the look of them and discarded them the first time they were in the way. I am pretty sure you will not notice any difference in performance or mileage.
