S10 Swap Headers
Has anyone ever tried using these headers on a mild 350 swap build on an S10 chassis?
Cheers! Ted.

Re: S10 Swap Headers
They would guaranteed not work on my s10 swap. Stock or custom are the only ones that will work that I know of

Re: S10 Swap Headers
Just looking at the side profile... I have about 3 1/2" between the head and the intermediate shaft and looking for something, other than a cast iron head that will flow reasonably well. I know that chev used a tubular exhaust manifold on some of their 85-88 trucks and vans... this just looked like it would be narrow enough to fit, yet still allow space for the plug wires...

Re: S10 Swap Headers
Chevy used some tubular ones on the corvettes as well. When I had the original steering in my 57, I used the corvette ex. mans and I had a machine shop angle mill the gasket flange 1/8", and it tucked the header away from the steering box.
Maybe you could weld on a thicker flange and angle mill it back down for clearance so it hugged the block a bit more on an angle. You could even angle mill it so it was thinner at the front than the rear? Then reweld if you took too much off for ridgidity. or vice versa. |

Re: S10 Swap Headers
Those look pretty cool! we ended up modifying one tube on a set of 67-90 camaro headers on ours but those there look better to me

Re: S10 Swap Headers
I've decided to custom build a set. So not like me, I know, but just gathering the materials now. Have all mandrel bent primaries to weld up, now just have to waterjet cut the flange and fab a set of collectors.
I'll be mocking up a set on the truck out of PVC and ABS to figure placement and lengths, but after that it will be stainless 1 1/2" primaries to a 2 1/4" set of true duals.
