Great advice. My '70 got the 2-1/2" disk brake spindles. For a daily driver, front disks are a must. Some vendors sell a kit that does not need to change ball-joints and tie-rod ends, but If you're going to replace any of that, buy the disk brake kit that uses the '72-up parts. Not necessary, but, if your're going to replace any of those parts, why not upgrade to the newer (and more stout) stuff.

I tried the dropped spindles with (1) cut coil, and found it to be too low for every day driving. Put stock length springs back in. Good luck and welcome to the board.
