Going To Shave Door Handles
Hey I am about to shave off the door handles on my '69 and was wanting to know what size solenoids should I go with? I can get a good price on a kit locally but it only has 40lbs solenoids. Should I go with something larger like 60lbs or more? Anyone have any post on doing a install? Thanks.

Re: Going To Shave Door Handles
You shouldn't have any issued with 40's that is what I have on the GMC and I'm not using door poppers as helpers. As long as your hinges don't have slop causing the door to drag on the jam. But like stated above 60's will work fine for a very long time if your worried about them. Installing them are real simple .. do a search as I recall a detailed thread that I used for my own install. I kept the orginal inside door handles for exit from inside the truck rather than installing electric switches because I didn't want to modify the door panel.
