Re: Attempt/Mistake #2

Also stripped the body from the chassis. Was a lot easier with the help of my brother's boom truck, did the entire job by myself in less than an hour. Apparently I really messed up on my technique of putting POR 15 on because the chassis looks like complete crap even though it has only been several years. Never fear, I have decided that I will sandblast it and epoxy prime and basecoat/clearcoat it this go around. (Plus I now have dry air) While I was getting the cab off I came to the conclusion that it will be more hassle than it is worth to try to fix my existing cab and instead I will be using this cab that I got in Arizona a few months ago. Will be needing a section of a cab for the back section of this cab as it was on a RV and had an opening cut in the back. If anyone has an extra cab around that is junk and wants to sell me this 2 foot by 2 foot section I would be happy to pay them handsomely. I will also be buying a roof skin to put on this cab as I do not want clearance lights. The cab has spent its whole life in AZ and has only surface rust. Original paint except the 2 toning was added later, even that is obviously at least 30 years old.
