And a couple more... My battery box had been also coated with POR 15 and you can see about how well that worked.. So I made a new bottom for it out of some 1/8 inch flat that I had lying around. Its kinda rough right now still but will polish it up and paint it before it goes back in truck. Will be welding it really solidly to the existing uprights as they were still good. I think that with all the seams welded solid on it and using an Optima from now on that it shouldn't ever rust out again.
