Re: somebody`s confused

Definitely not a 63. Back when i was looking, I saw a nice one listed for sale as a 64 for $4500 - turns out it was a 63 with a 64 title. The VINs didn't even match from the title to the truck and the guy still tried to argue with me about it!!

Re: somebody`s confused

I used to get into arguments with guys at parts stores over whether or not GMC ever made a 305 V6. I've just adapted the attitude that I'm right and everybody else is a dumbass. I could understand getting confused over whether or not you have a 64 or 65 or 66. But man, the WINDSHIELD is a big giveaway.

That is a good looking ride no matter what year it is.

Anybody on here know how to do that one piece door glass mod?

There isn't a kit for a 64, at least not one I can find.

Re: somebody`s confused

maybe it was an "extremely modified" 63... (as in he added 64-66 A-pillars, doors, windshoeld, yada yada...) Sorry, couldn't resist.

Almost as bad as the GMC w/ rear leaf springs when "all GM trucks have coils from 60-72" arguement. Been there too many times......
My current and most common debate is ...my 1970 is a Camper Chassis, not a Camper Special- the difference- mine is a dually w/extended wheel base- never had a bed-should have the built on camper. Camper specials are mostly C-20 std 8' bed. If I am wrong, please correct me,but that's the best I have found info on.

Yup.....been there too. Most recently with a guy at work who has a '65 Chevy.......but the nice thing about that guy is that he will listen to me and learn from me. Like when I pointed out to him that he had a GMC hood and not a Chevy hood. (the park lights) He had no clue but at least he was willing to listen.
