Unless they purposely changed the c-10 badges I'm wondering how they started with a junky '66 and ended up with a finished '65?

pretty disappointed in the show myself... But then again, it wasn't a truck show just about truck restoration either - so it beat another news show! The guy(s) does(do) some great work on there, but like many of you, I would love to have seen more in-depth coverage of the resto. Looked nice when done, had a custom flare to it with the red/white interior, etc. All it needed was a white grille surround and black backing!.!.!.!

yep it was a let down, I thought they would have shown a little more but thats hollywood tv for you, and by the way where does a kid get that kind of money to do a resto like that? hell I have spent over 15 grand and still have drove it yet. and thats me doing all the work to put it together.

I'm sure that if the show was as in depth as we all would have liked, there would have been many 60-66 owners missing from the forum at about the same time(and the show would be 2 weeks long). I thought the truck turned out good and it was cool to see a pizza eatin' youngster being into the resto of what is often an overlooked model.
I've always complained that our trucks seem like they are always missing from the commercials on T.V. It was nice to see them getting a little "face time" so to speak.

I'm betting History Channel foot the bill on that one. NO WAY that kid could afford that.

Re: A 64-66 on American Restoration 11-11-11 9:00pm eastern
Okay so today I drove up to Vegas to the bone yard featured on the show, Las Vegas Truck Salvage. Talk about being disappointed.
There was NOT ONE SINGLE 60's truck in that yard, nothing, nada, zilch. When I watched the show I was led to believe a guy could find a gold mine of 60's parts there......nothing! Not only did that place have nothing but none of the yards I went to had anything and the one place that did have stuff acted like he wasn't all that interested in selling anything. "I don't sell small stuff" was the 1st words outa the dudes mouth. He has 64 to 66 stuff but just the way he talks about what he has it will be WAY overpriced. Hope the rest of the country has better luck finding parts than Vegas does. |

Oh come on guys, you mean to tell me it actually takes longer than 30 minutes to completely restore a truck!? ( sarcasm here)
