Fan Shroud Help....
The other day I thought I would romp on the old 350 just for the heck of it, so after that bright idea I hear the most awful sound. I pop my hood and notice that the fan shroud is pretty broke up on one side. It is still fastened properly and during normal even fairly heavy acceleration its fine. But when you floor it from a dead stop the fan blades get into the shroud. Any Ideas? Motor mount? Transmission mount? I am needing to replace mine. Are the aftermarket ones comparable to the original shrouds? Thanks in advance.

Re: Fan Shroud Help....
I'd check/ change all three mounts. It sounds like one is broken, and if it did it may have started a tear in the trans mount. If this is the case, the other engine mount may be borderline although it's generally in compression. Cheap insurance to replace all.
