What kind of oil

Title says it all, what kind of oil and what brand? 5W30, 5W40, 10W30, 10W40 etc.

What kind do I run?? Valvoline 10 w 30 in winter 10 40 in summer. Our rock drills and excavators run delo 15 40 year round.

I have alway used regular valvoline 10w30 or 10w40 in my old cars.Im going to start adding some type of zddp to it though.Stp claims to have zddp in it.If i had to rebuild or put a new cam in one of them i would put braddpenn or something simular just to be safe.

i use brad penn 10w30, loaded with zinc and all the good stuff, if any of you remember the kendall green oil this is it, great protection for a hotrod motor. but don't use it with vechicles with cat. conv.

In my rebuilt engine, I'm using Castrol 5w30 year round.
Everything else gets 10w40 in winter and 20w50 in summer, and usually the cheapest brand I can pick up.

I only use slippery oil. It it ain't slippery, I ain't using it.

Chevron 10W-30 for many years (used to find it on sale cheap, and with rebates). Currently using NAPA (Valvoline) 10W-30.

i pay attention to what a manufacturer reccomends for thier crate motors and if i put things like aftermarket blowers on i look to those manufactureers for recomendations as to what thier products live longer with
