New Buddy Buckets

Well they arent really new they just look new as I just picked them up from the upholstery shop today .They did a great job on them in black vinyl and black tweed .They asked what pattern I wanted and I told them to surprise me and add extra padding on the already good original padding. I know this post is useless without pics so if someone will volunteer to post pics and give me an e mail address I will get my wife to send pics from her work computer as our home puter wont let us send pics .Boy did they turn out purty .

Re: New Buddy Buckets

Thanks Geoff
Will get them to you tomorrow .Let me know what you think of the cup holders mounted on front of the storage box.I have not yet decided if Im going to keep them or not but if I do they will be sandblasted and painted black .They work really well as they flip up when not in use.

Re: New Buddy Buckets

Looks great.
Wait till you take a 3 or 4 hr ride with them installed in your truck. So much more comfortable than the stock seat.

Re: New Buddy Buckets

Those look great-I hope the extra foam doesn't make you sit too high-I redid mine and I sit about an inch higher than when I had my bench. My line of sight is "in the dark blue tint at the top of the wind shield which works good for me(5'-11")

I like those cup holders-where can I get some?

Re: New Buddy Buckets

Geoff ,Thanks again for posting the pics for me . I cant wait for my truck to come home from the bodyshop someday for these seats to go in. For those of you interested in the cup holders they are from a Foose ball table that was being thrown away at the university where I work so they may be available from places that sell or repair pool tables .

Let me guess the upholstery was free as well.

Very nice. Can't wait to see them installed.

Those seats are truly a beutiful thing! Nice job! The only thing that would make me love them more is if they were in my truck.

Re: New Buddy Buckets

The links above didnt work for me ,I will try again later.

Shannon ,The upholstery shop labor and vinyl with extra padding was $325 as I furnished the black tweed material which was another $125 for a grand total of $450 .I have enough black tweed to make a cover for the gas tank. One funny thing about my seats is they somehow installed the seat slider lever on the wrong side of the driver seat between the seat and the storage box .I brought it to their attention and they said they would fix it but after I sat down on the seat I decided I liked it better that way .Not a bad price for a nice set of Buddybuckets and they sure do sit well here in my office. I have almost as many new parts for my truck in various rooms of the house as the bodyshop has of the old parts. My new grill and grill shell with emblem came yesterday as well.
