Stock Exhaust Exit
A quick question...I was looking at the Anti-bling thread (stock truck photos) and it raised a question. My 72 has duel exhaust that exits just forward of the rear wheels on each side. From most of the photos it appears that this probably isn't stock. My truck was originally my grandfathers and he didn't (to my knowledge) make any modifications to it. I'm assuming that the exhaust was probably changed at some point...can someone clarify?

Re: Stock Exhaust Exit
I used all stock hangers, stock brackets and stock straps and I had a oldschool exhaust guy bend my pipes. I think this is how duel should look like.

Re: Stock Exhaust Exit
Dual exhaust pipes dumping in front of the rear wheels was a very popular, period modification. In fact duals still are! Stock your 350/LS9 would have had a single pipe exiting aft of the left rear wheel. BTW: Nice SWB K10! Dark green just looks so right on these.

Re: Stock Exhaust Exit
dual exhaust with a 350 engine was not available when these trucks were new from the factory
the one pipe aft of passenger side rear wheel was it

Re: Stock Exhaust Exit
Actually, the single exhaust exit is on the driver's side rear. Also Jason's red/white SWB (sameyrasmea72), exhaust exit looks very correct.
