after refining my ebay search they sell steel ones too! all i need to do now is pull the neck and order one of them problem solved

Re: 72 K-20 Aux Fuel Tank

Here are a couple of pics of mine. The two caps are different, the inner diameter of the aux is smaller but if you can graft a normal tank filler to the aux filler you could run the same caps.
