Any tricks to removing an old tailgate?
I acquired a donor tailgate to replace my current rusted through one. However, I am having some trouble getting the old one off. I used some rust penetrator to get the bolt to spin on one side but can't really figure out how the mechanism works. Any pictures or descriptions that I could use to get started? It's a 66 step side if that matters. Thanks!

Re: Any tricks to removing an old tailgate?
there is a round bushing/trunion that the bolt screws into on each side. If the bolt is really seized into this the bushing, it is slotted so you can wedge something like a screwdriver into the slot as you try and removed the bolt. try both sides, if you get the bolt to come out on one side you should be able to manover the tailgate out from the other bushing.
