Help, disc brake swap
I installed a set of spindles and calipers off off what was supposed to be off of a 71-72 C-10 onto a 69 C-10. (2WD) I ordered 6 lug rotors as the customer wanted to keep the six lug look and not have to change out the axles. The brakes all bolted up fine and all, but I have way too much positive camber that can't be reduced to specs even with all the shims out, and the steering stops keep it from turning all the way like it should.
I did this same swap with my 68 truck and had no problems. Could the spindles have been off of a later model truck instead of a 71-72 and I would need to change out one of the control arms?

Re: Help, disc brake swap
Balljoints are different on your '69.
So are the outer tie rod ends. I'm not sure how you bolted the 71-72 spindles on correctly. If they were 73-87 spindles,.. the balljoints and outer tie rods are different yet,... from the 71-72 stuff and the 63-70 drum brake truck parts. Do you have any pics of the suspension?
