3 speed to TH350 swap
So I have a 84 short bed silverado and I want to take out the 3 speed and put in a auto. Does anybody know what all I will need? Short/intermediate/long shaft? the crossmember looks the same and i want to keep the 250 in it. thanks for any help.

Don't hold me to this but i think that your three speed with bellhousing is the same lenght as a short shaft 350. Crossmember is the same.

Re: 3 speed to TH350 swap
I dont recall any I6 EFI motors.. And IIRC on my76 I was able to swap in the th 350 for the s on the tree trans.. I changed out the pedals and the column to make it look factory

Re: 3 speed to TH350 swap
I did the convertion from 3 speed to automatic. Ur guna have to move the crossmember a couple inches, hardly anything. Drive shaft is ok, u dont have to change that. Then i had to get tranny cooling lines.2 lines fron tranny to radiator. While i was underneath i change my u joints cause they were due. Also got a kickdown cable and speedo cable. Thats about it, and works good. I think i gota change rear end gears tho cause there for 3 speed manual not automatic

Nope, you should be ok. I also ordered a floor shifter. I got a b&m rachet shifter on ebay.
