Highlander Seat Restore
I've been reading around, and havent found the answer I am looking for. I know I can get the plaid material from SMS. I know that SMS, also carries some less than original quality scroll vinyl in rolls. I need to replace the vinyl, and the plaid material. My question to you guys is : Can I buy a scroll seat cover from one of the vendors, and have the plaid inserts sewn in to make a close to original style seat cover. Are the off-white vinyl Custom seat covers offered anywhere close to original, or am I better off buying the vinyl material from sms, and having my upholsterer make a complete cover? I have seen a few of you, who were lucky enough to save your original parchement vinyl, but I dont think I will be so lucky.

Check with forum vendor Truckseats. Here's a link to one of his threads... Link

You also might check with Pickupman. He's also a board vendor. He quoted me a price on a parchment Highlander seatcover. It was kind of pricy, but no more than what you're talking about. Not sure if it had the scrolls or not.

Re: Highlander Seat Restore
I'm interested in the same thing. My center scroll pieces are good, but there are a couple of 3" tears on the driver's side near the door and a hole in the plaid on the pass. side seatback. I'm wondering if the original scroll panels could be reused. I'm afraid the vinyl might be too brittle though.
