Gas Gauge Wire

Pulled out my seat to replace factory rubber mat in my 68, to replace rubber mat that i got from Brothers. Noticed that wire running to fuel sending unit was broken in half, now I know why gauge does not work ? Is this wire a special size because of resistence issues with gauge or can I upgrade to a bigger size wire original looks kind of small ?...thanks and happy New year to all !

Re: Gas Gauge Wire

The resistance is built into the sending unit itself, should work fine with a splice.

I see you are just over the big hill from me!
