Another newb motor mount question
Can someone help me find a thread or some plans for V8 conversion in 4.3 s-10 frame??? Or the best way to mount it in my 54/s10. Thanks in advance

I know nobody wants to hear: "use the search function" so I won't do that to you, but looking at this page:

Scroll through the posts there and you'll see it's pretty easy to pick out who's doing S-10 swaps. You'll also see that there's no one answer to you question. It's been done several different ways. I'm sure you'll see a method that will work for you.

Yeah I used the search and just about everything came up. Just was seeing if anybody had a good plan or method for it. I'll figure it out. Thanks tho

Bowtie is right, depends on your skill level. some like to figure it out and fab everything. others will buy a kit someelse has done. Look at sgtusmc build, turned out really nice and he did all the fab work himself.

I'm going with the method xpickup used on his 54.
S-10 swap mounts with the original 2436 motor mounts. Basically, turn everything upside-down. The metal conversion mounts are used on the opposite side that they were made for. And you mount the 2436 rubber mounts directly to the engine block like a pre-69 Camaro. Then weld the S-10 bracket onto your K member. This is xpickup's mounts: ![]() and mine ready to go in: ![]()

Thanks AD, that looks exactly what I came up with first. I just used 1/8 plate just to see how it would be. Need to go get thicker plate and finalize it

Mine are 5"x8" 1/2" plate. drilled to the factory 4.3 locations using the back hole to mount the front hole in the frame mount. I need to drill and tap the back ones. Then regular 4.3 mounts will bolt to the small block and drop straight on the frame mounts.
