Clearance lights are done, what do you think????
Finally got my clearance lights finished. Took me a little time to make them but I love the way they turned out.
They go with the Military theme of my truck. So what do you think?? I have more pictures I will post later.

I was thinking the same thing. I've got a replica of one that was the type my Dad had in his B-24.

Re: Clearance lights are done, what do you think????
Thanks guys..
They are actually 25MM shell casings from a navy ship. I got some solid Poly tube and turned the tips down on a lath. Inside I have 193 LED lights, only because they run cooler then regular bulbs. They are not lit up in the picture as I'm still working on re-wiring the whole truck. Here are a couple pictures of the bullets.... [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]

That is way to cool, especially with the barbed wire. Totally awesome.

Re: Clearance lights are done, what do you think????
I got some dummy pineapple grenades from a surplus store and made shifter handles out of em. I just threaded the end of em and tapped/threaded an allen screw into the side to lock them down. I think the whole thing might've cost me about $20 for each one. Look pretty cool too.

Re: Clearance lights are done, what do you think????
Budman..
It wasnt very exspensive to make, it just took time. I took me a while to locate the shell casings and then it was $45 for the solid orange plastic. I have some extras that I made for back ups just in case. I also made a rear third break light from .308 casings I need to post.
