Test fit of my Fuel cell
Before taking the tank to get it powder coated I did a test fit. I am very happy with how this turned out. From the side the tank disappears, which is exactly what I wanted. Member FuelCellGuy built this tank for me and did an awesome job.

Looks nice. Is that tank super heavy duty or will it be protected in some way? It seems to me that with a flatbed you'll be hauling loads on it, making a tank located there prone to puncture from shifting loads etc.

It was built pretty strong and the interior baffles should give more strength, but you can bet when I'm cutting firewood I will do something to protect the tank. Gotta keep it pretty!

California Customs metal cleaner or maybe the thought of clear coating it. The alumium tool boxes all have a clear coating on them. Just a thought....

I'm gonna go with a silver mirrored powder coat from a local shop, Lorac. Should look great and unless your vehicle is really tall, shouldn't blind drivers behind me.

Tommy was being a snot head about me answering a question directed at you Mark.
![]() I want to do something similar, but the cash flow in the truck budget says otherwise ![]()

Oh, now I see, didn't read close enough I guess. I bought some LED lights to use for turn signals in my gauge bezel. The bezel is coming together slowly, got the gauges fitted on Sunday and the bezel painted.

The sending unit is on the opposite side of the filler. It is a VDO unit that you can get from Summit that is the correct ohms for our stock guages even though I am going with different gauges. It is adjustable for like 6" to 20 something inch tanks.
