Transmission cooler line

Dose anyone know what the thread size is for the trans lines into radiator, and is there a differance in the thread size on the trans itself between a th350 and a 700r4.

Re: Transmission cooler line

350TH and 700R4 lines are interchangeble.
Both are 1/4" pipe

Re: Transmission cooler line

Just to add a little more info on the subject, those 1/4" pipe threads in the transmission case are straight pipe thread, as opposed to the more common tapered pipe thread. Using tapered fittings could crack the trans case.

Also, the factory setup usually has adapters screwed into the case that go from the 1/4" pipe to 5/16" inverted flare to accept the 5/16" steel cooler lines. Many radiators directly accept the 5/16" inverted flare lines (although some use adapters). And I'm not sure what year they changed, but some years have larger 3/8" steel cooler lines.
