3/4 ton springs vs 1 ton springs
Ok heres the deal. Im running an 84 chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 and it had the original 3/4 ton springs under the rear end with a 4" lift block. Both stacks of springs had some busted leafs so i scrapped an old 1 ton c30 chevy and took the springs out of it. I took the correct leafs out of the 1 ton stack and matched them to my original ones and threw them under my truck. I set the bed on the frame and it looks like it has way more then 4 inches of lift. My question is do the 1 ton leafs have a higher spring rate or whatever? The picture is with only a 4 inch block out back abd some 4 inch springs up front.

I always thought that the only difference was how many leaves were in the pack and the over load. You got me don't know.

Re: 3/4 ton springs vs 1 ton springs
I resently just found out that theres several diffrent spring rates and diffrent arches within the same model of truck. I found this out when I was going to buy reproduction stock leafs for the front and rear of my truck. Found this out again when I went to the junk yard to pull a set of 56'' springs for the rear of my truck.

Re: 3/4 ton springs vs 1 ton springs
heck no! i was just curious as to why it sat so high with only the 4" block. The higher the better haha. i was going for 6" suspension and 3" body for this truck. im going to have to jack the house up to lol not much room left lol as you can see.

Re: 3/4 ton springs vs 1 ton springs
I would stay away from a body lift at all cost. I'd go all leaf! BL cause a whole mess of headaches.

Re: 3/4 ton springs vs 1 ton springs
I understand where your coming from 100% but im 16 and this truck is a budget build. I already have the body lift and its the highest i can go without messing with my driveshaft geometry and all that fun stuff.
