Went to the local pick-n-pull...

When I decided to re-upholster my dash, I discovered that my ash tray housing had been totally destroyed by the previous owner. (He had totally removed the ash tray/lighter assembly to hide an alarm control box in there).

Just based on my LMC Truck catalog this is what it would have cost to replace everything.

Ashtray housing = $79.95
Ashtray = $29.95
Lighter = $12.95
Lighter Housing = $12.95
Lighter Retainer = $3.95

for a total of $139.75

Yesterday I went to the Pick-n-Pull, found a complete assembly and got it for $6.99 You can imagine how stoked I was!

I went to the pick-n-pull here in San Jose on Monterey Road. They've usually got between three to five '73-'87's, including blazers and 'burbs.
