Re: turbo 400
1. Block your wheels.
2. Start engine and shift into reverse, when you feel the truck go into reverse, shut off the engine BUT DO NOTSHIFT BACK TO PARK. 3. Neutral safety switch is located on top of steering column near the firewall and is adjustable. Older models were/are held in place with 2 sheet metal screws that have either a 1/4" or 5/16" hex head on them located at either end of the switch. Newer ones simply snap into place and have a slide adjuster built into them that can be easily moved side to side. 4. Identify which style yours is and adjust it to where the reverse lights come on at your desired shifter location. (Note that having some one watch and announce when the reverse lights are on makes it alot easier on your back/knees/temper). 5. Make note of the location of your "PRNDL1" indicator on the dash. Is it lined up with the "R"? if not, it too can be adjusted by removing the lower dash covers under the column and sliding the anchor for the needle around the shroud to line up the needle where you need it to be.

Re: turbo 400
Don't forget to put it back in park before you start, in case lockout doesn't work.
