PB Dropmember, Power Steering, LS Motor. Question...

Hello, i have a quick question for anyone out there that has been down this road all ready. I have a 85 C30 with a 5.3L LS swap. Im installing a porterbuilt dropmember in it, with the power rack from unisteer.

Can anyone tell me if this kit here from jegs : http://www.jegs.com/i/Borgeson/153/925102/10002/-1 Is the kit i need to adapt my unisteer rack that i have on my dropmember to my LS motors power steering pump?

I have searched locally and all my local shops cannot get me the fitting i need to seat into my unisteer rack, then i came across this one and wonder if its the one i need.

If anyone has any others that work as well, i would love to see what your using.

Thanks

Taylor

I ordered my 6AN fittings directly from Unisteer.

I got mine from nathan and it worked perfect. The rack fittings are metric I believe. The SAE thread fitting will screw in but it is going to leak. Nathans price was not bad and you know it will work.

My rack had standard threads.
5/8" on the return line.
9/16" on the pressure line.

Re: PB Dropmember, Power Steering, LS Motor. Question...

I purchased all my dropmember components from nathan, when we got to plumbing the power steering the kit came with four fittings. I believe that two of the fittings were standard and two were metric. I am running a unisteer rack and after a discussion with nathan the fittings were metric if a recall correctly. Hopefully nathan will chime in and clarify. The standard fittings will thread in but I think nathan had some issues with them leaking.

I'm just going off of Unisteer's website.
My rack didn't have inverted flare threads.
This is the fittings I just recieved from Unisteer.

I'm running braided TFE hose with 6AN fittings.

Re: PB Dropmember, Power Steering, LS Motor. Question...

You are correct lolife, I found the thread about it and it clarifies it. I knew there were some confusion about the metric and I had it bassakwards.
