Dumb exhaust question, and dumb seat question.
Seats: What fit's what? I've done some sear5ching, but can't find a good answer. I need a back seat for my 1990 crew cab, is that a specific seat, or is it the same as a standard cab bench? Will a newer seat bolt in, front or rear? I may have a chance to pick up a brand new seat from a mid-late 90's standard cab, but don't want to get stuck with it if it won't fit. And waht about seat belts? My truck is a "Bonus Cab" so it never had anything behind the front seat.
Exhaust: 1990 crew cab, 4x4 with a 454. Has anyone used one of those "build your own duals" kits from summit (and a million other places)? I've done a little looking and am leery of them. Does any one know if Walker or anyone else still make the pipes so I could order factory style duals and just install that on my truck? |

Re: Dumb exhaust question, and dumb seat question.
the front and back seats in a crew cab are the same bench seat.. walker does make pipes for a dual exhaust

Re: Dumb exhaust question, and dumb seat question.
I used the summit exhaust kit on my truck, no problems at all.

Re: Dumb exhaust question, and dumb seat question.
Cool thanks. I have a k30. Whole lot less wiggle room with a transfer case and extra drive shaft. Prolly gonna just order up the walker parts and cross my fingers that they match up to my manifolds.

Quote:
The front bench doesn't fold forward, but the rear does to allow access to behind the seat. The front bench has sliders (the same as a front bench in a Burb). The rear bench has solid mount brackets that move the seat back to allow for more leg room. The 88-98('00) manual and power seats are fairly easy to mod to fit, you can shorten the steel mounting brackets to get the seats to sit @ the same height as stock. Or make your own mounting brackets. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Dumb exhaust question, and dumb seat question.
Cool thanks. We got a late 90's truck that got smashed up a few months after getting the front seat redone, i gotta talk to the head honcho and see if I can buy the seat out of it before it goes to auction. If I can get it cheap enough I'll snag it to use for temporary.

Re: Dumb exhaust question, and dumb seat question.
Here is what a member here (OJOE) did.
95-00 crew seats. I love it!! I wanna do the same but gray cloth with a split bench in the front. Several guys on here are using 2001-up seats (with built in belts), but you have to mod tge floor to get them to sit right. Posted via Mobile Device
