In need of help with engine I.D. numbers
I was just wondering if someone could help me with my 350's block I.D. number found on the front passenger side portion of the block... The I.D. is ( K0630CDD ) and the numbers right under those where ( 1C1256821 ) ..... So if anybody could help figure out Wat exactly I have under the hood of my 65 c10 I would greatly appreciate it...

Re: In need of help with engine I.D. numbers
Look on the back side of the block (behind the head) on the drivers side..There is a casting # there that will tell you what you have for a block..the numbers on the front tell you what vehicle the block was installed in but could very on what year the block is..The casting number will designate what it is, that with the front numbers will give you the info you need..I checked online and did not see a CDD..here is what I did find that was close in the chevy small block engine suffix search of the internet

Re: In need of help with engine I.D. numbers
Well this sucks guys, I finally got some time to sit down and put together all these numbers and just realized I was lied to, I was told it had a 350, but I just realized after going through the numbers that its actually a 267...... Boy do I feel dumb, I wish I would have known about all this stuff sooner, but owell.... I guess ill take it as a lesson and learn from my mistakes..... Well at least its a real good looking 267..... But thank you guys for all the help with my dilemma.... It's really appreciated.....

Re: In need of help with engine I.D. numbers
Yea,
From what I read the 267 was introduced in 1979 for GM F-Body (Camaro), G-bodies (Chevrolet Monte Carlo, El Camino, and Malibu Classic) and also used on GM B-body cars (Impala and Caprice models). Still in the 3.50 in bore family (1979–1982). The 267 cu in (4.4 L) had the 350's crankshaft stroke of 3.48" and the smallest bore of any small-block, 3.500 in. The 3.500" bore was also used on the 200 cu in (3.3 L) V6, which was introduced a year earlier. (The 200 was a Chevrolet V6 engine based on the small block with the #3 and #6 cylinders removed). It was available with a Rochester Dualjet 210 - effectively a Rochester Quadrajet with no rear barrels. After 1980, electronic feedback carburetion was used on the 267. While similar in displacement to the other 4.3-4.4 L V8 engines produced by General Motors (including the Oldsmobile 260 and Pontiac 265, the small bore 267 shared no parts with the other engines and was phased out after the 1982 model year due to inability to conform to emission standards. Chevrolet vehicles eventually used the 305 cu in as its base V8 engine
