Re: wheels for my 64

Welcome to the forum. The stock 1/2 ton bolt pattern is 6 lug x 5.5" bolt circle. Any Chevy passenger car wheel up to 1948 will fit, along with Chevy truck wheels from the late 1930's until they stopped using 6 lug wheels on 1/2 tons. Later disc brake wheels up to the 1980's will also fit. Some of the even newer 6 lug wheels will also fit the pattern, but the center hole may be too small to fit over the hub, and the offset may be way off and not fit or look right on the truck. I believe many 6 lug Toyota truck wheels also fit, but again the width, offset, and lug nut seat angle may be different.

Re: wheels for my 64

sounds like someone converted to 5 lug based on how your question reads - which would be the 5 on 5"

Re: wheels for my 64

what kind of wheels do you want? stock steelies, mags, etc?
Ok, really dumb question - but are ALL 4 of your wheels 5 luggers? Many folks have done just the 5 lug in the front for disk brake swap purposes and don't do the rear as well. And that's ok, but it severely limits an "all 4 the same" wheel option. Anyway, if you want steelies, then you can make it work - many passenger car stock wheels will fit your 5 lug pattern. If you do have 6 lugs anywhere else, then you can keep em and as long as you run at least a poverty cap - only you will know you've got 5 AND 6 lug wheels. Only mention that just in case - but am assuming you have ALL 5 lug wheels - in which case you can run pretty much ANYthing you like once you know the exact bolt circle size, etc. Look fwd to seeing what you stick on there. My vote (oh yeah, I forgot I don't get one) is steelies!

EDIT - make sure to measure your bolt circle - some 5 lug patterns are 4.75" bolt circle (an additional option to the 5 on 5 mentioned above).

Re: wheels for my 64

they are all 5. i want steelies for now. i was thinking of the 20 inch dodge ram steelies. but not sure what i need to fit them onto my truck. dont really want to run a adapter. i have seen them break in half pretty easily. i want black 22s eventually. just waiting for a house to put her in
