gear ratio ?
Hi
Would anyone know what rear end gear ratios were offered for 3/4 ton chevys? Mine is an 79, 350 with 4 10's. Would like something more hwy/gas friendly. All I have ever seen are 3 73's, and they are not exactly plentyful in this neck of the woods. Thanks, Dave |

i think for 79 you only had 3 choices---3.21, 3.73 and 4.10.
If this is the 14bolt full floater then the aftermarket doesn't look much better. |

2wd? 4WD? 10 1/2 full floater, or 9 1/2 semi? Corporate or dana front if 4wd?
my 81 3/4 2wd has a 9 1/2 semi floater and has 3.42 gears. They made a 3.23 (rare), 3.73's and 4.11 from the factory for this rear.

if you have a 10 bolt ill happily trade you mt 307s for your 410s lol

i have a 14 bolt corporate 4:10...with a 454....i need to get a gear vendor...
