what's a good ac vent for the 55-59 dashes?
I want something in the dash not under it,, any ideas?

Maybe not the best way but, this is how I did mine.

i used vintage air genII compac system, did not like the look of the sure-fit system's plastic stuff.
the va unit sticks out under the dash quite a bit, i put one vent in the kick a 4'' fascia covers the va unit and the other vent is in the steering column cover without the console this would have been a nice finish to any dash. you could make a one piece fascia all across the underside of the dash.

I am putting one 2.5" dia. in each kick panel and making a horizontal custom louver to fit under the dash in the center. I do not like the stock VA plastic ones. No photos, still in planning stages.

Yes, they do I can get a 45 degree angle out of them so I'm not just cooling my legs.
