Re: WTBUY 4 barrel carb

The correct carburetor is a Carter AFB. You must also use a stainless steel plate under the carburetor and above the gasket for the exhaust gasses to get to the carburetor to warm it up, but not cause damage to the base of the carburetor. You can also use one of the Edelbrock Performer Carburetors, but I am not real fond of them. What is your application for the intake? I might be able to help you.

Re: WTBUY 4 barrel carb

If you just want to get it running, you could use a Quadrajet, a Holley, or a Rochester WCFB (that old square type 4 barrel) with an adapter/spacer plate to run it. The Quadrajet and Rochester have the same bolt pattern as an AFB. You just have to make sure that those exhaust ports in the intake are blocked off, or you will have a massive exhaust leak into the intake, which will not it run. For your purpose, you could just use a gasket to block them off. If you want to sell that intake later, let me know.

Re: WTBUY 4 barrel carb

Hey Jess, I have tracked down 7 so far... Two Holley's and 5 Q-jets. The 5 jets I have found look the same size diameter as the primary and secondaries on Steve's he pictured. I have plenty more just got to track the box down... PLEASE DON'T LAUGH!!! hah my garage is similar in scope to an indoor junkyard at the moment!!!
