Re: 63 C10 today ascross the scales
We would sell it complete, but as high as scrap is no one wants to give $800.00 for something like this.....

Re: 63 C10 today ascross the scales
I live in chicago and built a building next to the pound. They crushed cars that they impounded but no one came and got. All day long they crushed every cat you could imagine. New or old didn't matter. It was unbelievable! I had a 66 corvair that got crushed that way. It got a bunch of parking tickets and they wanted more for them than the car was worth so I didn't pay. Off to the crusher! I was 18 didn't have the money or a garage!

Re: 63 C10 today ascross the scales
The hood on that 63 looks decent (better than mine anyway), that would bring some cash itself. I wish you weren't so far away! Did you snag the radio delete plate and is it available?

Re: 63 C10 today ascross the scales
Is it just a fleetside? Was the cameo a unibody?

Re: 63 C10 today ascross the scales
This thread was started just for fun and not as an advertisement to sell any parts. I just wanted to say that since at this time I am not a supporting member. I didn't expect to have do many requests to buy parts, I am all about preserving these old trucks and that is why I have hoarded parts for 25 years. At current I do not have the time to devote to selling and shipping parts. For anyone who could pick up the parts could be purchased thru the scrap yard I am sure, but they do not ship any longer either. I see an opportunity to make a few bucks and help my fellow forum members out so in the near future ( month or two when the days are longer) I will try and fit in selling some of my extra stuff to help fund the build on my truck. I hope everyone is understanding, but I don't see where I can fit in finding boxes and packing, getting it to the shipping store etc. ... Be patient with me and as soon as family and work life permits I will be selling stuff off. This April during the car show weekend would be a great time for the locals to come browse thru my endless boxes of stuff( some I haven't even seen in 20 years. Until then please enjoy the pics and know someone is preserving the past by pulling the cherry parts before it is crushed. :-)

Re: 63 C10 today ascross the scales
A good rust and dent free '63 hood is worth $260. How much does a hood weigh? Truck scrapped without a good hood would be about $2 to $3 bucks less? I know what I would do with collectable vehicle parts.
