radiator issue

to replace the original in my 77 350 4 barrel AC truck. It is obviously a little larger and doesnt fit perfectly in the lower radiator bracket which then caused me to have to not fully install the upper mount plate cause I could only get 3 bolts in at an angle. I see that there are small block and big block rubber isolators or spacers available. Did I get the big block radiator without knowing and possibly just need to now get the big block spacers to make it fit?

did the rubber pads fit in the lower/upper mount correctly?

I wound up replacing the radiator in my truck i had to change the mounts

no they didnt fit. were a little narrow. I thought about just removing whatever material I need to get it to fit. Although after closer inspection today, it looks like even the lower area where the radiator sits in will need some trimming as well. The hoses and trans lines fit well and if the radiator were to drop down a half inch Id be good. On the driver side, a molded area of the lower radiator rest/mount will need to be ground off or removed.

I believe the steel radiator mount is the same for SBC and BBC.

The difference is in the rubber pads that go under and on top of the radiator AND the shroud.

Look on Summit, they have different radiator pads for radiators of different thickness.
