Homemade Fan Shroud
I just finished the fan shroud on my 65 C10 and thought I would share some photos with you.
I first used 2 inch and 1 inch flat bar to make a frame next to the rad. Then I used some 22 gauge sheet to make a 20 loop for the 18 inch fan. After getting the shroud centered around the fan I welded the loop to the frame A little primer I used a bead roller to stiffen up the loop YES that is green paint I ran out of black I used a piece of plastic edge trim so that the frame would not rub the rad. |

Re: Homemade Fan Shroud
Has anyone tried making one out of a 55 gal drum?

Re: Homemade Fan Shroud
Hey, send me a weld-up kit!! I like it.
The Okie in me has often thought about using a 55 gal drum. Old skool style, it would have part of the brand of oil or fluid at the top of the shroud.

Good work on the shroud. Can I ask what year fan and clutch are you using? Off a truck or?
