Hi guys, I'm trying to find some info about the drive train combination they might have used in the 1 ton 4x4 trucks equipped with a 454 cid engine. I have a local guy selling an '85 for parts that has a bad body and frame. I was thinking it would have a NP205 and 14 bold axles (full/semi float?). Im not well versed in the axles (Dana 60 vs 14 bolt) just know that I want to use the engine and drivetrain for an off road truck. Thanks, I'll keep searching.

It'll be a 14 bolt full floater (if SRW), Dana 60 front, 205 with either a turbo 400 or sm465.

Thank you. What is the SRW and other three letter acronyms I've seen for the 1 ton mean?
There's some killer trucks in this short thread. There's just something about the stance that's a lttle different.

K30 up to 86, then V30 for a couple years, then V3500 until '91 when crew cabs with the straight axle front went away.

Im up here by Paris TX. Both are local trucks. Black K30 was sold new in Van Alystene TX, Red was sold new in Farmerville Tx. I 1st missed buying the red k30 by a few hours. Black k30 came up for sale so i bought it. Ive owned the black k30 twice now. 1st bought it back in '12, sold it back to previous owner 1 year later, bought the Red K30 then when it came up for sale. 2 years later i got a call wanting to sell me the Black K30 back. Bought it back so here they both sit.
I just dropped off a set of steelies to get powder coated white. Having a set of 265/75r16 Firestone transforce a/ts mounted on the Alcoas Monday. Will have the goodyear m/ts mounted to the steelies with factoy hub caps. Ill run the steelies in winter and spring while its wetter weather and Alcoas in summer when it nice and dry.                 How the red k30 looked when i 1st missed buying it.       How it looked when i bought it year later    Black k30 when i 1st bought it. It currently has power king 9.00x16 directionals.
