wheels

I have these 15x7 wheels, wondering what caps would work on these? I am pondering powder coating these. I like the chrome lugs, beauty ring look...will this wheel accept the rings? also the bullet caps. Need to search the bullets again...I know some guys are running them front/back. thanks for any input you may have.

Re: My Find

Those rims with the 4 bumps on the front will fit over disc brakes with no prob, which makes it nice if you want to do a conversion. They will except the dog dish style hubcaps and trim rings.

Those wheels accept standard 10 1/8” hubcaps, so just about any GM passenger car hubcap from 1954 up will fit, Ford caps from 1949 (not that you’d want them), along with aftermarket baby moon hubcaps, and Chevy truck hubcaps from 1962 up. Any of the 15” hot rod trim rings will also snap in place.

Don’t know about the center bullets. It depends on the center hole size in the wheel and how much clearance there is between the hub and the wheel.

Re: My Find

I initially was going the cheap route and going to put plywood down and then spray liner the inner box. I just think the wood floors are to much a work of art to cover up. I have searched for several hours to see if removing the box from the frame was the only way to install the new wood.....never really found a definite answer.

Re: My Find

I just installed the floor in my bed a couple months ago, and I know there was no way I would have been able to do it while it was on the truck.

Re: My Find

I did mine with the bed on the truck (it was not bolted in but the wood went in just fine while the bed was sitting on the back of the truck. We put spacer blocks of wood outside of the perimeter of the bed and crossmembers to space it properly. We started in the middle, left the bolts loose so we could make sure our home made wood fit properly, we didn't even have the fenderwell cut outs done or the cut out for the fuel tank door. It took a while but we got it in. so it can be done with the bed on..the truck. Kieth

You will have to look thru this gallery to see up putting the wood in, along with the crossmembers, fuel tank, cutouts for the fenderwells, etc....Kieth

Re: My Find

Just want some opinions on paint. I am fairly certain I am going with the lower left. Colors may appear to be goofy (orangish is actually copper).

Re: My Find

change of plans. Making progress. The color is white with metal flake. Should look awesome in the sun. Copper color coming after the interior gets painted.
