Re: space saving ideas
I was just thinking about asking the same thing about the aux heater, I would like to see what people have come up with.

Re: space saving ideas
Initially I was planning to place it begin the left rear quarter panel and now I want to see about placing the spare tire under the body and place the heater in the spake tire location

Re: space saving ideas
I like the idea.... I just replaced the heater core in my Blazer. It would be easy to build a box and add a small blower. I would suggest a valve to stop the flow to the back of the truck. How would you run the hose to the back and would you want to insulate it?

Re: space saving ideas
you could easily add a 1/4 turn manual pull valve on the dash-kinda like a choke
i plan to run the lines along the frame rail and it could be lightly insulated using home pipe insulation- the primary reason i want the rear heat is for winter defrost |

This is an cable operated valve so you dont need anything at the dash but a cable... You can keep the valve down my the frame... You could also run a hard line next to the exhaust... scavance heat that way... OK... EDIT:: Part # 74661 is a Four Seasons part number as found on www.rockauto.com and was supposedly used on our trucks... Last edited by mcmlxix; 02-24-2012 at 03:22 AM. |
