anyone installed lokars 67-70 throttle pedal yet?

I'd really like some pictures concerning the install of this pedal. I'd love to purchase one in a week or so but have some concerns about the angle of the throttle cable running through the firewall. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I installed the lokar pedal but the cable runs out the bottom of the cab. I had the other style lokar where the cable ran out in the stock location but I never really liked it..

Re: anyone installed lokars 67-70 throttle pedal yet?

You're referring to the eliminator gas pedal, right? I've seen a couple magazine installs of this, and I'm contemplating that as well. My concerns with that are the exhaust, and routing it to the Bowie overdrives carb plate I have. It seems the cable just "hanging" from the mount on the plate would put undo stress on that mounted area. Am I wrong in this thinking?

That is indeed the set up I have.. I am running a big block and I clear the exhaust with out issue.. As far as support for the cable I have a small line clamp on the back on my driverside head to help support the cable..

Re: anyone installed lokars 67-70 throttle pedal yet?

Thanks a lot for the info. I am definitely going to look into that as a viable option as opposed to that direct fit pedal. Still trying to sort out the clearance for the cable though! Speedo cable, shift linkage, exhaust, brake lines, and possible throttle cable make for a very cluttered drivers side! Sorry for the small rant, thanks again!

Re: anyone installed lokars 67-70 throttle pedal yet?

After looking into it more, how is your pedal travel vs WOT? What I mean is, what is the angle of the pedal at rest, and is there any room for travel left behind the pedal after WOT? The reason why I ask is that with carpet and sound deadening added i would think it'd change pedal travel by a significant amount. Thanks again, its nice to get some first hand experience and knowledge with an unfamiliar product.

Re: anyone installed lokars 67-70 throttle pedal yet?

I am only in mock up stage right now so I dont have carpet or anything just the steel floor.. I adjusted the lenght of the cable to where there is no movement past full throttle on the carb.. Now that you mention it I hope that was not a mistake on my part????
