Finally some pics of "Old Green" my ''68

Well here as some pics of "Old Green". My great uncle bought her new in '67 (see pics later). I've got all the original paperwork, protect-o-plate, manuals, insurance card and registration since it was new. It was used daily on the farm until he parked it in the late eighties from a blown engine. His son took it to Vo-Tech where he rebuilt a 350 for it and started using it for a daily driver instead of his Camaro. The radio, amp and speakers were put in when he was in Vo-Tech and still work great. I still have that reciept as well! He drove it to work every day until about 2000 when that 350 bent a pushrod and he put in an extremely hot 350. Couple years later and he bought a used S10 to drive and it was parked in my grandma's shed. Fast forward to 2008 where he passes away from a unknown heart defect since birth and his mom sold it to me. Since I've bought it I've maybe put 500 miles on it, so I think she's gonna get advertised. I hope somebody else can buy it and appreciate it, but I guess we'll see! On to the pics....

I like it. Nothing beats an old farm truck that has done what it was built for its whole life.

Besides the rust, the body looks pretty straight. I'd just wash it or polish it and see if the original gree will come out and use it a daily work truck etc. But you obviously don't drive it enough to do it justice. Poor old truck lol

Re: Finally some pics of "Old Green" my ''68

The interior was what surprised me the most....that's still the original dash pad in it! I took a couple hours and cleaned everything really well...shocked me how nice it came out. The seat was recovered so it's in nice shape. As far as exterior, the paint that I put a little wax on turned out great. I just didn't want to spend the time that day to do the whole thing.... I think it'd make a great driver for somebody while the repairs are being done!
