Does anyone have these Cab lights.

Ive been looking around for cab light for my '82.
I like the factory ones but are little hard to find sometimes.
And kind of like the 88-98 cab lights but I would like to
see if anyone has the
Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra 01-06 cab lights on a 73-87 truck

Re: Does anyone have these Cab lights.

the lights should come with the bulb and socket.. if the truck didnt come with cab lights , like always you will have to make the connections and run the power wires; they ground to the body

Re: Does anyone have these Cab lights.

Wheeling truck center sells the entire light assembly including wiring. All 5 cost me about 60.00. The originals are signal stat which still makes them today. GM doesn't sell them anymore but signal stat still makes them. Any aftermarket places sell them but are a ripoff. I haven't seen the new style on the older trucks so couldn't tell you what it looks like. But I like the look of the older style better.

JOE;the part number for the lights at NAPA is 1313A line code LIT
The stores in Eagle River and on Dowling Rd. both show to have one each in stock. additionally their warehouse shows to have one as well.

Re: Does anyone have these Cab lights.

Here's an excerpt I did from another thread for BIGRED76 a couple years ago. He was wanting spacing specs and pics. So I did what I could to help him out.

As your looking at the roof from the front bumper let's number the lights 1 - 5, passengers side to drivers side.

1. Diameter of all the holes is 1 3/8"
2. Center 3 holes (#'s 2,3 & 4) are located 5 3/16" back from the edge of windshield gasket to center of hole. Front leading edge of 3 center holes is 4 1/2" from edge of windshield gasket.
3. Center 3 holes measure 6 3/8" center to center to center. 12 3/4" center to center from hole 2 to hole 4.
4. Holes 1 & 5 (outer most 2 holes) are located 5 3/16" from the inside edge of the drip rail to the center of the hole with the edge of hole measuring @ 4 1/2" from the inside edge of the drip rail.
5. Holes 1 & 5 measure 6 3/16" from the edge of the windshield gasket to the center of the holes with the edge of the holes measuring @ 5" from gasket edge.
6. Holes 1 & 2 measure center to center 17 3/8" with 16" from edge of hole to edge of hole.
Holes 4 & 5 measure the same as 1 & 2.
7 Screw mounting holes are 2 3/4" across the center of the larger holes.
8. Outer 2 lights are angled outwards about 10 to 15 degrees from straight forward.
BTW all my lights have been replaced with L.E.D.'s

I also wired up the outer lights to my front side marker lights so they wig/wag flash with my front turnsignals.....

Re: Does anyone have these Cab lights.

I had to change out the sockets so I could recess it in the base keeping the led away from the lense as they were originally touching and melting the lenses. I used these light sockets from AUTOMETER part # 3211

And these led's from v-leds.com part # DIY_6_BC_W_5K and a 194 adaptor base as seen in the second pic below

$13.99 each from v-leds right now and they are offering a volume discount for them as well.

They are so much brighter than factory bulbs that I even put them into my overhead console to really light it up inside when I need to.
