Holley 9776 450 CFM vs Edlebrock 1404 500 CFM

Just about concluded the Holley 4160 600 CFM is just too much for my stock 1972 307 out of a 72 C10.. What do you think about a Holley 9776(JEGS)450 CFM with mechanical secondaries vs a Edelbrock 1404 500FM ( sounds like tthe secondaries are not mechanical.)

I would go with a Thunder Series if your after a double pumper sytle. The Edelbrock 18024 - Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS 500 cfm Carburetor.

Holleys are great on a race car but for a driver, I think the Edelbrocks are way better.

I would personally go with the Holley. The 450 will be hard to tune as it's primarily designed to be used with a dual quad setup.

Check into the 2300 series 500cfm 2barrel Holleys. Just make sure to get one with a 30cc pump instead of 50cc for that 307.
