Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!

Nice looking burb orangebus. I believe that most vendors have the suburban panels for behind the rear wheels and around the tail lights. Wes at "Classic Heartbeat" was developing the rocker panel for the third door area,as he did with the other parts I mentioned, not sure if they are available yet. Many other parts for the pickups are interchangeable. There is nothing available for in front of the rear wheels but some pickup parts can be pieced in. Be careful what you order as the as the wells are different. Welcome to the board from Maryland !!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!

I used a replacement piece for a blazer to repair the section in front of the wheel well. It fit pretty well.

Here's a quick update on mine. New shoes and airbags.
(ignore the flipped pic, just using it for height reference)

The drop is 2.5" spindles from CPP and one loop cut from the bottom of each front coil.

Another Suburban with a canoe . Picture of mine when I bought it , I couldn't get the PO to include canoe. Changed to ralleys from CL and cut springs after I bought it .Installed '98 suburban leather seats . Plans include changing 292 / 3spd to small block /700r4 . 4/6 drop , lots of body work , and newer interior . been collecting parts .

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!

Hey Doug-

Did you buy your 1972 super burb from the dealership in Carlsbad. I hope you had a better expierence than I did. I actually bought that truck in June of 2009, flew to carlsbad and paid for it. Loaded my pregnant wife into it and began to drive home and the tranny started smoking and slipping 10 miles down the freeway and the ac wasn't charged. So I literally turned around drove it back into the dealership tried to keep my cool and told them I wanted my money back. It was quite the experience! It's a beautiful truck...and your ac is fully charged because of me .

Thanks vectorit! You've got a nice burb too! I saw your album... looks like you've got a burb with some family history there? Very cool... love the pic (maybe late 70's early 80's) of burb with trailer on the East Side of Sierra Nev... looks like just outside of Lone Pine with Mt. Whitney in the back ground! Nice burb!

Thanks for the compliments!
You are absolutely correct on your estimate of where that picture with the burb and trailer was taken.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!

Hey all. New to this forum. So glad I found it. 7 months ago I bought a 1968 Chevy K-20 Suburban. She is a 3/4 ton 4 wheel drive with a straight six 292 with a 1 bbl carb on her. I plan on keeping her as mechanically stock as I can. She is rough right now but have an awesome wrench and bodyman to help me finish her up. She was barned for 28 years, was originally from Cali. She will be my daily driver/ work rig.
