That looks sweet! Thanks for that front wheel pic. I need to paint my hub locks. Just an FYI. I found out on mine that when I put the top back on sicnce the seal only covers 1/2 the bottom lip the uncoverd part rubs on the bed raill causing the tops of the rails to scratch. My paint guy is going to take care of this for me this summer and Im going to do some type of seal on the bottom lip of the top that covers the rail completly (not sure what yet) since the truck is garage kept.

I am going to get a soft top for that very reason. I hope that it is the last major expense for this thing! I have a double wall but it would need to be refreshed. The Blazer will only see good weather and I really wanted to have it a convertible as much as possible. If I put the fiberglass top on it would have to stay on because I don't think I could get it on and off without scratching the rails all to heck. I guess it will continue to hang from my garage ceiling joists.

Put new shocks on front and rear, new steering stabilizer, changed fluids in differentials, and put new tailgate panel on. Waiting for the soft top to arrive - supposedly next Monday.

What shocks are you using? I'm trying to decide what to put on my Blazer so I would appreciate hearing why you choose whatever your using. Thanks in advance.

Thanks much, Dmcinfo. I am using Monroe gas LT shocks. No special reason other than I had bought 4 for my shortbed 4X4 last year and they made it ride and handle much better. They are very reasonable through Advance especially with free shipping and 20% off. My trucks are all stock height and suspension so I didn't use anything special. The steering stabilizer is a NAPA shock that I replaced the original worn out Rancho shock that was on it - about $33 instead of $97. Just matched up the lengths and travel.

Put the Softopper on. Nice Unit but absolutely terrible directions. The windshield frame shown on the directions for a Gen 1 top is actually a photo of a Gen 2 windshield. The side rails are drilled to match the holes for a single wall top not a double wall. I found out afterward that they will sent non drilled side rails if you tell them and then you can drill them to match your holes for a double wall. The folks that make these are very nice. When I asked about the placement of the front snap bar on the windshield frame, they emailed me a couple of other photos right away. In any event, pleased with the top and fit.
