seized torsion bars
my Tbars are seized in a full preload position. the adjuster bolts are out but the keys will not drop down relieving the pressure. I've tried beating the dog crap out of it with hammers. air hammers. Heat is next but I dont have extremely easy access to a torch. this is on a 90 chevy k1500.

Re: seized torsion bars
Are the adjuster bolts and the threaded parts that they screw into out?

Re: seized torsion bars
yes, ended up welding a bracket around the bar and cutting it with a torch.
